Swishing or rinsing with plain water after drinking any acidic or carbonated beverages (soda, coffee, wine, etc.) will help keep stain, cavities and enamel erosion at bay! The water helps to neutralize the acidic pH of your saliva post sugar splurge, saving you a future toothache!

BONUS FACT: Don't brush immediately after a meal or drink, especially those with a high acidity. Doing so can further accelerate the acid attack on enamel. It is best to wait 30-60 minutes, allowing your saliva to neutralize the acids introduced into the oral cavity.
