PARTS OF THE MOUTH
Gingiva: Also known as gums, this is the soft tissue that surrounds the teeth.
Hard Palate and Soft Palate: Together these form the roof of your mouth.
Uvula: The fleshy extension which hangs near the back of your mouth.
Palatine Tonsil: Commonly referred to as the tonsils. The tonsils are made of lymph nodes and aid in fighiting infections.
Tongue: Muscular organ of the mouth used for tasting, licking, swallowing and speech.

Enamel: Calcified tissue covering dentin of the crown of the tooth.
Dentin: Mineralized hard tissue which forms a majority of the tooth.
Pulp Cavity: Space within a tooth that contains the pulp.
Root Canal: Portion of the pulp cavity inside the root of the tooth.
